Yes! It's finally done! This is my new fursona, Rivin. As said above, he's a sea serpent, NOT a dragon of any kind. My drawing style just makes him really dragonish. x3 Now, unlike what I did with Tai, I really tried to make Rivin into a good fursona. Aside from the obvious difference of him not being anthro, I threw in many different things that are more directly related to me than I did with Tai. Rivin is a sea serpent; hence, he is a creature of water, my element. I attempted to design in components of my favorite real animals, as well: from Utahraptor, the head design, and what was originally going to be the killing claw became the extra-long claws on the hind feet; from snakes, the enlongated body and neck; from the tiger shark, the stripes and small fins on the tail, the shape of the last sails on the tail, and a sort of dorsal fin on his nose; and from the crocodile, the small, webbed hands. Additionally, his color scheme comes from my favorite colors--sea-green, grey-blue, and purple. I also added my love of things that glow in his spines (the tips glow green, although it's hard to see here).

I have a few very big thank-you's to give out. First to Shinerai, for being such an amazing inspiration through her work, which, although I already had plans to make a new fursona, was the final push I needed to begin. Next to Aranai, for making an unrelated comment to me that made me realize that Rivin didn't have to be a dragon to be cool. And, finally, to everyone who gave me helpful critiques on the lineart of this piece, which helped a tremendous amount in making it look as good as it does. Thank you all!

I like this, though the water looks a bit too solid and wall-like, and the foam looks kinda like feather or fur boas. Try experimenting with the contrast between the water and the foam, as well as making the water a little transparent or something so it will look more fluid. Clouds also need a little work, mostly with the shading(something I'm working on as well since I'm into watercolour and the like as well as digital media). Check out "The Watercolor Painter's Solution Book" for some good tips because it will work not only for watercolour painting, but for other aspects of art as well.

The seabeast looks great though, and the anatomy is pretty consistent. Good job!
